Chapman died suddenly at 9:30 o'clock last night at his home, 72S South First YTest street, of neuralgia of the heart, after an . nines of but a 1 few hours. Dr. Chapman had been ailing- for several days, but It was not thought that he was dangerously affected. af-fected. Last night, however, he became be-came suddenly worse "and another physician phy-sician was callef, but Dr. Chapman died before his arrival. Dr. Chapman was well known In Utah and Colorado. He was 69 years old, and In early manhood enlisted with the Sixteenth Maine volunteers, serving serv-ing throughout the Civil war. He was a prisoner at Llbby prison for some time. . In 1866 Dr. Chapman settled in Colorado and In 1890 came to Utah. Ho is survived by a widow, four daughters and two sons. , |
