There were live deaths of residents in the city during the month, equivalent to an annual death rate of 10.40 per 1000 of vhe estimated population as compared with that of 10.8S a year ago. Five cases of diphtheria, three cases of scarlet fever, five cases of smallpox and 12- - of typhoid fever were reported during the month.
