Consequently neaily all places of busi ness, all banks, all city, county and State offices are closed in honor of the event. Thousands of people are at the fair this afternoon, and unless a raThstorm comes up, the indications are that a crowd of unparalleled magnitude will visit the greatest of all great exhibits ever shown in Utah. The past few days have been filled, from early morning until late at night, with an unprecedt nted rush of work at the fair site. Carpenters and decorators have pushed their work with rapidity, to make room for caper exhibitors, anxious to secure their spaces and arrange their shows. The entries in every class of exhibits of former have far surpassed tho.-years and up until a late hour last right they kept pouring Into the offices, almost swamping the extra force of clerks who were compelled to remain at their desks until nearly morning. Entries of beef cattle, dairy cattle, draft horses and sheep were seeminsrlv in the majority, but every other iine of exhibits has a far finer and more complete showing than last year. Though the horse stalls have doubled in number, they are nearly all filled with Utah's finest, specimens. Fine Line of "Sheep.
