Show FALLACY THAT NE VEE DIES. There is one fallacy which will never die. Briefly stated. It Is that waste and 1 extravagance are "good for trade." The v'aeory appeals to the spendthrift and the Y?rMite peculiarly, but it crops up con- rnually in places where Its falsehood I should- be apparent. "Girls who have millions have no right to make their own lothes, but must spend their money to encourage trade." This might be the Evening Journal, but it is not. This is the Sun, which ought to know better. It aften says a clever thing and sometimes a true one. This Is neither. Wall Street Journal. |
