Th band haa been declared unfair to labor union by the local muslclana' union, and consequently union musicians will not play at th reaort any longer. W. M. Knerr. D. V. Lewis and La. A. Matthews, a committee from the central body of the Salt Lake federation of labor, held a consultation with the reaort management man-agement yeaterday relative to the matter, but no amicable agreement waa reached, and the union musk-tana decided to close their enraa-ement. John Held, local agent for C O. Conn, manufacturer of musical Instruments, filed eult Saturday morning agalnat J. K. Roach, manager of the Band a Mexlcana. to recover certain musical Instruments said to be unlawfully held by Roach, and 9300 damages. In lien of th return of the Instruments judgment la naked In the sum of $1500. ft la alleged that Roach left Denver with the Instrument a unlawfully unlaw-fully In hla possession. |
