Show Give Us A Call The summer quarter for . . . adults at Jefferson Free School began with registration and classes on June 12 at 5:00 p.m. THe quarter will run until July 27, offering Basic and Advanced Math, Reading, as well as G.E.D. preparation, English as a second language, and High School credit Social Studies, English, Math, Science, Bookkeeping and Typing. The staff for the summer will be assisted by 15 community volunteer teachers, who will work in the different classes. Plans are being made so that after the summer quarter concludes and new VISTA staff come in August, these community teachers will begin a free adult program under the supervision of the Salt Lake Public Library, in the Central City neighborhood. A five week summer session for the out of school" junior high student will be offered beginning June 20 at 10:00 a.m. and running several hours a day for three days a week. The staff will be working with eight University candidates.
