Show Letters Dear Editor: Crossroads - "we" by the way, means the two of us. We don't have organizational backing. Our combined incomes would be less than $00 a month. What we must do now - and hope this "we" will include you - is raise the money to pay for his trip. I also hope that out of this we can develop some sort of unity among all the different groups in Utah. We have let them divide us by definitions. The Congressional Black Caucus recognizes it's responsibility to take a leadership role in this effort. Therefore, we invite you to attend a National Strategy Session on Monday, March 12, at 1:30 p.m. This meeting will convene in Room 318, Old Senate Office Building, at 1st and C Street, N.E. We shall cut-back- grants. We will naturally protest against our local government. Nixon has the only police force capable of dealing with massive social disturbances. Small businessmen who are delighted right now with the cuts will begin to feel the pressure when the poor can no longer afford the corner grocery store or have a prepared agenda. We shall seek your advice in implementing the selection of an Advisory Board to determine national local garage. OEO is not the answer to strategy to offset the President's irresponsible domestic actions. If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate your sending a poverty, but neither starvation or rioting. Regardless of your basic politics, we have been taught to expect services from the Federal government and have no local resources, to fallback on. I cannot see Nixon doing such a thing as he seems to be doing without a good reason, but I can see how his actions could lead to his establishment as a is representative. Sincerely, Louis Stokes, Chairman, Congressional . Black Caucus." Although we natually went on an ego-triover the invitation, we felt it was too serious a matter for representatives as little fool-hard- p informed about the over-al- l picture here in Utah as we are. We had very little time - whoever went had to leave Sunday - to consult the community. We asked Fred Deitrich of Crossroads and Ruth Ross to go. Mrs. Ross was unable to attend.
