Show ON THE MIZPAH LEDGE bonanza tonopah To nevada the developments on the mizpah ledge up to the present date demonstrate it to be a continuous ore chute abo it 1000 feet long and averaging about four feet in width at no point along this 1000 feet does it produce anything less than what might be termed a high grade milling ore while 50 per cent of the ledge so far as it is opened up is composed of ore containing values in gold and silver of from to per ton along the course ot this ledge and within the 1000 feet above mentioned ten shafts have been sunk all over feet in depth from which drifts have in many cases been run for some little distance to td a depth of feet the ledge has been pretty well blocked out and its value is no longer a matter of speculation beginning at the western end of the ledge so far as developed is the lease of lynch omera and sullivan one of the great producers of the camp lynch and 0 mera are working this lease for all there is in it having lately installed a gasoline engine and hoist and a rock breaker they have an air compressor on the road and will shortly b be operating compressed air drills next adjoining is lease no 30 robbins bobbins coslett wilkinson and which is also producing heavily cutting brown are the owners of the next lease to the east which has produced thousands and will produce thousands more I 1 before the hammer falls on the first of january next the company ground known as the dark clark shaft adjoins cuttings on the east the company has been engaged altogether in sinking at this point the sinking of a shaft paying a handsome dividend and yielding at times over 1000 per day brougher bros lease no 36 adjoining the company shaft on the east is now the great producer of high grade ore over 2000 0 sacks of ore are stacked up awaiting shipment and ore is being thrown over the dump the sinclair and golden lease adjoining has la lately tely become a producer of high grade ore and is now considered one of the liest beat leases of the camp east of this lease for a short distance the ledge seems to be broken up considerably on the surface and no results have yet been obtained in the way of shipping ore lease no 34 owned by oddie pheby peters has produced considerable ore some of it being very high grade still further to the baut are the leases of frank golden beauchamp Tani tamblyn blyn co and co coall all producers the last m mentioned being the last operating lease to the east upon the ledge the production of this one ledge 1 is now over per day and rapidly increasing if its values continue with depth it will be a world beater |
