The strong-minded women of this city arc soon to have the satisfaction of having their political and civil status defined by the highest court of the district. The Judges of the Supreme Court, after holding several sev-eral consultations over the arguments submitted lost week by the attorneys of the Woman's Franchise Association, have now unanimously agreed upon the following points : First That women arc entitled to vote under tho Fourteenth Amendment Amend-ment to the Constitution. The right is clearly rcoogniacd therein, but in such a vague and indefinite manner that it will require further legislation on tho part of Congress to determine in what maoner and under what circumstances cir-cumstances the right can bo exercised. S'cond That inarnuoh aa ihe or-ganio or-ganio law of this district limits tho elective franchise to males, the right of women to vole here does not attach.
