Show I.Mi'iiOYED. The charing of the blockade hai already effected a marked improvement in mining as well as in general business allurs in the city. Mining U-'gJliations were considerably depressed, under the influences of a stoppage of mail coninninica'.ion with tho eastern States aud Europe, but with the opening of the railroad, really good mines are in demand at advanced figures. There is no difficulty in disposing dis-posing of h-jt-c!a:j mines at round prices, but ihey uiuat he sufficiently developed to show that they are good mines. Wc know of several gentlemen who have foreign orders to purchase mines such as we have mentioned, but the mines must fulfil the requirements specified in tho orders. Foreign purchasers pur-chasers do not care tj buy mere surface sur-face indication?, nor will home mining brokers buy them except at nominal prices, and it is therefore to the interest inter-est of owners of claims that promiso to be mines, to develop them. |
