Show AN IXDIAN WEDDING An Unusual and Very Interesting Ceremony Cere-mony One of the most interesting as well as prettiest of wedding ceremonies took I place at St Marks cathedral last evening when Miss Nellie Moore was married to Maj Bull Mr William C Girton white candles I Twentyfour pure whie lighted twinkled and glowed in their bright I brass candlesticks in front of the rich red hangings of Whitsuntide lovely white I lilacs bride roses and cape jessamine giving a festive air to the beautifully decked altar Messrs Frederic W Waite and F H I Cherry the ushers wearing boutonnieres of cape jessamine politely seated the guests I Ten pews were reserved for the brides I family and the bridegrooms company i I While a good ized audience waited the comingof the bridal party Miss Taylor the excellent organist of St Marks played some entrancing selections from favorite operas and upon their arrival she struck up those inspiring strains of I the Lohengrin march The party proceeded up the aisle proceeded pro-ceeded by the ushers Messrs Cherry and Waite followed by Mrs Norris as lady in waiting and Sergeant Moore Then came the bride and groom The Rev Fred W Norris stepped forward I for-ward and in rich and solemn tones read the impressive service of the Episcopal church The grooms replies were plainly audible I audi-ble but the brides timid She was modesty mod-esty attired in a cream figured challie and wore red carnations white roses and cape jessamines The procession left the church to Men delsohns wedding march and going at once to the rectory where the Rev and Mrs Norris who have taken a great interest I in-terest in them gave them a reception Many hearty congratulations were extended ex-tended as the Indians filed by shaking hands Delicious refreshments were then served after which members of Company I sang I couple of hymns in the Indian language Mr William Cox rendered some fine vocal selections as did Mrs Norris and Miss Taylor These last were instrumental instrumen-tal numbers Miss Moore and Mr Girton were bof h I pupils of the Carlisle Indian school of Pennsylvania and impress one as of more 11 than ture ordinary intelligence and good na |
