Show I GEORGE YANDERBILTS WEDDING Civil Marriage Yesterday and A other Ceremony Today Paris June IThe civil marriage of Miss Edith Stuyvesant Dresser to Geo Vanderbilt took place at 3 oclock this afternoon in the town lal In the Eighth district of Paris The deputy mayor officiated There were 15 persons per-sons present The witnesses were Cor nelius Vanderbilt Hamilton McKay Twombley Daniel Leroy Dresser and John Nicholas Brown of Providence There was no marriage contract whatever what-ever and the ceremony only lasted 15 minutes Mr Vanderbilt presented 150 francs to the three clerks of the town hal and he also donated 2500 francs for the use of the orphans of that district At the conclusion of the ceremony the deputy expressed his thanks for the latter gift The marriage ceremony will take place tomorrow at the American Amer-ican church The ushers will be Messrs W B Os good Field Joseph Howland Hunt Count Antone Saale Rutger Leroy and Frank Andrews The best man will be Jonathan Sturgis The bridesmaids will be Miss Florence Reid and Miss Daisy Demontsault |
