Show A JUNE WEDDING trA I I MARRIAGE OP HISS BAILEY AND CHARLES POST I Was Solemnized at St Marks Cathedral Yesterday Afternoon in tlie Presence Many Friends J The music of wedding bells was hear at St Marks cathedral yesterday yester-day afternoon a 5 oclock the hour when Miss Clara Emilie Bailey daughter daugh-ter of aitfeM T Bailev and Mr Chares Herman Post two of Salt Lake Citys well known and deservedly pQpular young people were united in marriage mar-riage riageT church was tastefully decorated with yellow roses which were banked I against the windows and about the altar al-tar and snowballs and bridal wreath massed upon the altar Clusters or snowballs tied with white ribbons ornamented or-namented the front pews White fruit blossoms were used in ornamenting the organ frame The yellow light from the altar candles added to the effectiveness effective-ness of the decorations Mr Seymour presided t the organ and played the Bridal Chorus from L hengil as the bridal party entered en-tered The four ushers Messers Will Walker Max Smith V7 H Don ell and George Nye entered first They were followed by the four bridesmaids Miss Park and Mum Sherman Miss Rage and MisS Lowe Next came Mrs lI T Bailey escorted by her sons Messrs Walter and Arthur Bailey The maid of honor Miss Alff followed walking alone Following her and immediately im-mediately i preceding the bride came lIs Edna Bailey the brides attendant attend-ant At the altar Rev F W Norris and the groom and his best man MrS Mr-S H Field jr awaited the party The beautiful ring service was used and the brides mother gave her away At the close of the ceremony the bridal party passed out to the strains of JMendelssohns wadding march and thechime of the wedding bells which pealed forth right merrily at that moment mo-ment The bridal party and the relativjs of the bride drove at once to the hcme of her mother where congratulations and a wedding feast were the order until tho bride and groom departed on the I 825 train for the east intending t spend three weeks or mori with relatives rela-tives of the groom in Chicago and Dayton r Day-ton O The costumes and all the color effects ef-fects in this wed ling were extremely pretty The bride who is one of the most beautiful young ladies in this city of beautjful girls was attired in a bf coming costume of cream regents satin en trine with puff sleeves and bre telles trimmed with duchess lace Her form was enveloped in a tulle veil Sh wore no ornaments except a handsome opal and diamond brooch the gift of the groom and carried a white and gold prayer book her mothers gift gft Miss Alf wore white Swiss over yellow yel-low moire A white Leghorn hat trimmed with yellow tips and a bouquet bou-quet of yellow and white marguerites made a beautiful ensemble The bridemrils wore white dotted Swiss dresses with yellow ribbons and crush collar of yellow silk They ware large white eghornhats trimmed with yellov ribbon and Ptorl of the Gardm rospr The brides attendant was attired in pure white and hor laige whit hat had just a touch of color in a wreath off of-f < vers Mrs 11 T Bailey wore an elegant I gown the skirt of black duchesse satin with a Louis XIV coat of lavendp arti black satin A bertha of handsome I black lace added further richness to the costume Mrs T C Baileys costume was of white silk with moire sleeves and a girdle and collar violet velvet The home of the brides mother was profusely decorates in yellow and white The hall seemed a bower of yellow flowers and the dining room was lavishly decorated according to I I the color scheme of the wedding A touch of pink was introduced in the I floraL garniture of the parlor The crowded church and the elegant and almost innumerable wedding presents I pres-ents attested the poi1arIiy of the bride and groom A 2 They will bo at home after July 1 at 137 West Third South street I |
