The pupils of the lay school, held tit Independence lull, under tho auspices of tho Meth-idist Meth-idist Church, had a pleasant pio-nic party at Mark Lindsey's Gardens on Tuesday. An abundant tabic was -ipread by the friends of the school, it which the juveniles refreshed themselves them-selves to their entire satisfaction.
