Yesterday afternoon, Mrs. Sloan's youngest son, Johnny, died from diphtheria, after a brief and painful il:nes3. He was a bright, active and intelligent boy ot 13 years, and besides being the source of much comfoit to his widowed mother and orphaned brothers and sister, gave great promias of becoming an honorable honor-able and useful man in the community; com-munity; hence his sudden death is doubly severe upon the family. He had many warm friends among his juvenile associates, who will deeply mourn his loss. Little Johnny will be remembered by the public as taking a prominent part in the Whit-! ney operetta. I |
