Show Death of a Waterloo Veteran. A recent number of an English paper received by a resident of the 20th ward, records the death of another soldier from the famous field of Waterloo, John Spicket. He was a Wiltshire man, and entered the51it or King's Own Light Infantry in 1S12, at the age of 19, He served for: 'twenty-five years, and after his discharge dis-charge as unfit for further sorvicei lived lo the ripo age of 8i. He was not wounded at Waterloo but he received a medal. The dead veteran was well-known well-known by the gentleman, who informs in-forms us that Spicket was a member of the Mormon church and was reB-pected reB-pected by his acquaintances. |
