Show The Election. From present indications the general gen-eral election next Monday will be devoid ot excitement, if not of interest. inter-est. No onj; appears to be actively moving in the matter, and although nominations have been made by both parties, the efforts to elect will not be very energetic. Especially is this lack of public iutercit manifest in Salt Lake county, where election affairs heretofore have created so much wrangling. Unless a change comes over tho public a light vote will be polled here, and the -polling places will not he the scenes of strife they have been during the past four or five years. We do not care to create an excitement over tho election, elec-tion, and prefer that the voting would pass oil tpiietly; but we hope that no voter in the county or territory terri-tory will neglect his duty next Monday. Mon-day. It is not only the right, but the duty of every one possesng the quahticalionsof a Voter to exercise the great privilege on the 2d of August. Failure to do so may cause him or her regret hereafter. |
