The Frisco Time, of last Saturday, contains the following account of the killing of Jedd Woodard by J. W. Pace: Our informant statu that on the night of January 30th, a party was given by the Relief Society of 1anguitch, for the benefit of the indigent of the place. Mr. Woodard went and asked to buy a ticket fur the Anoe, which the manager refined to sell, telling Woodard they die) not went him there. Woodard asked if hi did not always pay his way; they said vas, but that he could not dance, end if he did not leave they .would put kin out of the house, and for thia purpou sent fur tha ooustable. Afterwards Woodard bars ware standing on the outside, the constable' wu informed that Woodard wu outside, end wu asked by the manager to go out and arrest him. The constable, J. W. Pace by name, stepped out, and pointing a pistol at Woodard told him to throw up hie bands, uaingdanguaga unfit for publication. At this time Jedd wu holding lighted match to his face with hands for tha purpou of lighting cigarette. Jedd turned toward the Pace, end when he saw tha pistol pointed toward him, laughed in his face. Pace then fired at Woodard and missed him tha second shot wu find immediately and before Woodard had time to recover from thia wholly assault, he fell with a bullet crashing through his brain. The father, F. husband, the strong, Woodard, in a moment, in the twinkling of an ere, almost, lay a corpse, tha victim of Mormon hate and personal difficulty with his murderer. (For it is said that Face and Woodard a short time previous had had a quarrel.) These facts did not come out in the mock which wu immediately held by manager of the dance, and in fact, tha party who wu almost as responsible tor the tragedy the murderer himulf, coroner.
