Dalys discovery oflhe vein on his property in Park City, which was recorded in this paper several mouths ago, has resulted iu the incorporation of a company to develop the property. The following account of Mr. Dalys operations is taken from the Dark City Jlceojtl: For the last four yearn, Mr. J. J. Daly lias been quietly at work, making developments at what is known as the Daly Group of claims situated in Uintah district, up the Empire gulch, in a southerly direction from the Empire and about of a mile distant. He first oommcnced operations by tunnel workings, one of which has been ran into the mountain (born the gnlch ia easterly direction, a distance of 1,000 feet, and another has been run in the aame direction 500 fat. A little oyer on year ago, Mr. Daly suspended opera-tion- s in his tunnel workings, and ' commenced at unking a shaft tha month of the central tunnel. Heavy timbers and lumber were soon on the ground, and under the snpervission of Mr. K. B. Tail, now of Butte, Montana, a aaw hoisting up over tha dowogoing shaft. Hoisting machinery was soon pat in plae and with these improvements he continued his developments. Mr. Dalys operations from tha beginning has been characterised by hie unpretentious quiet manner of doing fansineu. Acting u the theory that actual work must i to properly open and develop this group of claims, he continued bis labors until he had explored inffident ground to demonstrate beyond the possibility of a doubt that he had a second Ontario within his grasp. The shaft is now down 000 feist, and the ore which hu been uncovered thus far is of a high grade and corresponds in quality to that of the Ontario. Tha formation closely resemble that of the Ontario, and everything thus far jgoes to show that in tha Daly group lies the vein, in the search of which vast sums of money have been expended. We are not prepared to state whether this rich ore vein ceases to exist in the Daly group, or not, but this much we can say, if Mr. Daly, had contented himself with doing only assessment work QO' his claims, the knowledge of the existence of the ore he hu uncovered would have remained only in ooqjectursa. When he became utisfied that ha had ore, and could get all ha wanted, then the Daly group wu incorporated. n, IpiL -- San Francuco.
