Show - The Insanity of Humor. The "Rag Baby" . began the season at the Fourteenth Street Theatre on Saturday Satur-day evening, says the New York Telegram, Tele-gram, of August 18th, and its. reception by the comparitively large audience present pre-sent was very favorable. From the rising ris-ing of the curtain to the going down thereof the fun on the stage and the laughter and applause in the auditorium were continuous. The whole performance was exhilerating. All the various characters char-acters in the cast were excellently enacted, the impersonations in some cases being worthy of high praise. "A Rag Baby" should prove to be as popular and renumerative as "A Bunch of Keys." It is fully as good a farcical comedy. It will succeed admirably if it be as well played throughout the country. There is the very insanity of humor in "A Rag Baby," and people laugh con-tinuouly con-tinuouly and immoderately at the vagaries in it. |
