Show TRUTHWILL OUT A Washington correspondent of the New York Sun speaking of Justice Bradley Brad-ley and the Electoral Commistion 1877 says Ho had prepared an opinion in the Florida I case which gave the State to Mr Tilden as I he was justly entitled to the electoralvotes but under a certain pressure the exact nature j na-ture of which will soon be disclosed he reversed re-versed his own conclusions and sustained I the conspiracy by which the Great Fraud was consummated I If ever a fraud was committed it was I the giving of the Presidency to Rutherford Ruther-ford B Hayes instead of to Samuel J Tilden in 1877 The history of that affair I af-fair remains to be written hut already the general sentiment of the country is I c o that Mr Tilden was wrongfully deprived of the office to which he was rightfully elected Mr Justice Bradley vas the man on the Electoral CommiRsFon who always voted with tho J5envocratsou the Commission on minot promts such as I adjourning etc but with the Republicans Repub-licans on vital issues It would seem I from the above that at one time he had decided to dimst his vote in favor of giving the vote of Florida to Til den to whom it undoubtedly belonged If the Suns correspondent shall be able to make the grand denouement soon as to time true reason why Mr Justice Bidley acted as he did he will have done his country a signal service It is not absolutely abso-lutely certain that tho Suns Washington correspondent is correctly informed in the first instance If he is and lie gives to the world the true inwardness of the great wrong done the country in 1877 then what peopleknow will be confirmed and the old saying that Truth will out will be triumphant once more |
