Show iAn Anonymous Letter. An anonymous letter made out to be addressed ad-dressed to Governor Murray was one even- r , in? mis wees, put under the door of a gentleman living on Third South.between .Main and First East street. It was written writ-ten in a miserable scrawl, and though somewhat difficult to make out, warned the Governor that if the officials here did not let up in their efforts to enforce the law against a certain class that they had better look out. The writer said further, that if the "halt" was not called that he would shoot Collin on sight. The envelope i f was sealed, and the corners of it cut off so j as to make it almost right square. I ! The gentleman who got the letter, after 1 reading it, put it, envelope and all, into ? another envelope, and addressed it to 4 Governor Murray. The Governor could f not be found this afternoon, and therefore !j a fiul copy of the letter cannot be given. i |
