V could could be a a. a si sincere er d desire siJ to serve rV pr or TM ng to be in In on the ithe action Iran I Iran for student S 'S Senate nate l Jast year because I s. s wanted to have a say say in the time I spent at I ran for Senate again because I found a lot more advantages advantages are a available to me because Im I'm involved in my school and my ing The most important advantage tome tome to tome me is that my confidence and self- self esteem have quadrupled since I have nave been involved in student government Im I'm doing what I enjoy and I enjoy what Im I'm doing Any time you want to know more stop me on campus and Ill I'll be glad to share my positive feelings feelings feelings feel feel- ings with you This quarter is special l at Last spring the voted in ina ina a new constitution In it a new election election election elec elec- tion policy was outlined In the future all senators will be elected in the spring quarter But for right now we have a small problem problem we we still need a full active Senate until new officers take over in the spring At the last Senate meeting held W Wednesday Oc October ober 3 in Senate chambers we moved to allow new students to run for office this fall It passed so the election committee can screen new student applicants for election approval This is a great opportunity for new freshmen to get involved and will only happen this quarter as the constitution states that a person running for office must have attended the quarter prior to running for office Because this is a unique situation this fall we have provided a way for more people to become involved at |
