Show ATTENTION ATTENTION STUDENTS WHO HAVE RECEIVED A NATIONAL DIRECT STUDENT LOAN WHILE ATTENDING UTAH TECHNICAL COLLEGE Any student with a loan who is graduating or leaving at the end of Spring Quarter is required to complete an exit interview with the Collection Office Please see LeNae Williams or Karen Hayward in the Administration Building Room prior to May 25 1981 Diplomas and transcripts will be withheld until this requirement is met CITIZENS MARCH PLANNED FOR MX OPPOSITION A march and demonstration rally is planned for Saturday May 2 1981 for citizen opposition to the MX missile deployment in Utah and Nevada The rally will begin at 1200 noon in front of the State Capitol building where citizens will assemble Participants will march down State Street to the Federal Plaza where speakers will address the audience and musicians will perform from pm p.m. to pm p.m. The demonstration marks the closing of the public response period to the Air Fores Fore's Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the MX project It also marks the honoring of the annual Earth Day The purpose of the rally is to show that Utah citizens not only oppose the MX missle basing but also are committed increased to-increased to awareness about controversial additions to the nuclear arms buildup Speakers addressing the public will include Utah State Senator Frances Farley Rev Steven Dr Tom Gates of Physicians for Social Responsibility Utah rancher Cecil Garland and Gloria Firmage Chairperson of United Against MX For more information and details on the upcoming events contact Dan at or u |
