Show School Buzzes With News About Students Daffy Cub has been snooping around again and found that Donna Don-na Torgerson and Lamar Nagel have added their names to South's long list of "steady goers." What is it about Davis High that holds such an attraction for about half a dozen moon-eyed gals? Is it "all for one" or do there happen to be that many Davis High boys who have roused the, shall we say, interest in-terest in our girls? Some one please tell Daffy the secret, will you? Why is it that Roland An-derl An-derl hates to see a certain girl miss that South High Special in the morning? It's said she's waiting wait-ing for him to speak to her. Where's your courage, Roland? It seems either measles or a certain girl has been bothering Neal Adams Ad-ams during his vacation. We don't know whether to sympathize with him or give him credit for handling hand-ling the situation so well. A certain cer-tain little blonde seems quite interested in-terested in Gerald Roland, (and who isn't?) It's been rumored in the halls and cafeteria (not to mention class rooms) that those supposedly awe-inspiring squeels during Frank Sinatra's "swoon crooning" were induced by foul play: moving pictures shown behind be-hind him, little cards handed to girls telling them td scream when a certain picture appears, etc. Of course, nobody knows yet whether this is true. It's fun to watch the expression on Mr. Willardson's face when Oolleen Haynes walks in for the morning absentee slips. He enjoys having her walk across the room just as much as the boys in his class do. He says a man should have some beauty in his day's work. The boys agree perfectly. per-fectly. Kirk Urimley is certainly all for the office force especially the corner in which sits a little "Goldy Locks." Lorraine, you'd better watch out for that "Big Bad Wolf." Many Cubbettes received engagement en-gagement rings during the Christmas Christ-mas holidays. Among the happy girls are Corlyss Connelly and Retty Rankin. Congratulations, boys- The gals of South' really put on their running shoes and got dates for the "Shag Tag." In fact, they ran so fast to get their men that "Slow Down" signs had to be placed in the halls. Really, girls, it isn't that urgent (or is it. Leap year only comes once every four years.) The day Dex McGarry left some of the gals gave him a big send off. His mother is still wondering how that lipstick got on his handkerchief. handker-chief. Some fun! It is rumored that Ted Moore is paying bribe money to a certain girl to keep quite about a certain episode. Could he do anything wrong, or is she just trying to make some easy money? Velda Scofleld has uncovered a skeleton in her family closet. What did he do, Velda? Well, I've got to run if I want to get my little badge so I can belong to THE GREAT Stan Cock-rell Cock-rell (or is it Cockroach?) Fan Club. So . . . see you next time. DAFFY CUB |
