A Piute is North Seviers biggest rival for the region and state titles. The Wo;lf Women beat Piute for the state title in 1981 and the took it back in 1982. Thun-derbir- This past season has seen the Wolves beat the Thunderbirds once at home. The Birds then won againsat the Wolf Women at Piute. Coach Marie Bone said the Wolf Women have every intention of beating Piute at region and at state this year. The schedule this week for the region tournament is as Mows: Kanab plays Escalante Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the middle school gymnasium. Gunnison and Bryce Valley are next in the same gym. and and Panguitch plays Parowan at 2 p.m. in the high school gymnasium and Beaver and Wayne fight it out next in the same gym. The North Sevier Middle School has been qualified as a Physical Fitness Champion for the state of Utah in the Presidents Council on Physical Fitness.
