Mrs. Roger (LaRue) Elkins ran the marathon in St. George Oct. 2 at a statewide event and physical fitness program. They began at 4 a m., and she ran 26.2 miles in 4 hours IS min. LaRue, a daughter of the Wallace Poulsons, has been in this program for two years. They run four days a week and have aerobic classes three days a week. Their son, John Poulson, also is in this. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Spencer were in Salt Lake City during the week visiting their son, Mr. and Mrs. Blain Spencer, and taking care of some business. Newel and Aleen Olsen were in Clearlake Friday to Monday of last week They visited Don and Jean Nielson, his daughter. Another daughter, Fawn, and husband, St. Jerry Anderson, George, joined them, and also grandsons, Paul Nielson of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nielson of Salt Lake City.
