One of her sons, Layne, graduated from Seminary Sunday evening. Dr. and Mrs. Brent Martin, his sisters, Angela and Kimberly, and his brother, Jason, all of Beaver, Utah. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John W. Learning and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Martin, of Salina. are Mr. and Mrs. Allen Folster and Mrs. Nora Sorenson. ts Local Couple Planning A Summer Wedding Mr. and Mrs. McKay Mickelsen are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Cindy, to Barry E. Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wilson, all of Salina. Cindy graduated from North Sevier High School in 1977, where she was Girls League vice president. Barry is a 1976 graduate from North Sevier, where he was active in the wrestling program. He attended Utah Technical College in Provo studying diesel mechanics. He is employed at Trents Car Care. Noble had been in the hospital there and in Provo and was back in the Fillmore Hospital that day. They received word of Nobles death on Wednesday, May 24. On Friday, they went to Fillmore to be with the Day family that evening and for the funeral on Saturday, May 27 Family members from here at tending were Mr. and Mrs Wendell Rasmussen and Mr and Mrs. Alan Gurr, of Rich field. After the funeral, they traveled to Salt Lake City to attend the birthday open house for Mrs. Eulalia Dorius on her 90th birthday. They enjoyed visiting with the brothers, Lowell, Ellis, Kay and Rodney, and their families. Eulalia's other two sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Bart (Cleone) Thorpe and Mrs. Afton Johnson were there with their families. Other friends and relatives were there to make the day special for her. Philo and Velma stayed with their son, LaVon, and his family Saturday night and returned home Sunday. It was a special day for the Rasmussen on family Decoration Day, Monday. They visited with many friends and relatives at the cemetery, and they were hosts for a dinner afterwards at their home for Lowell Rasmussen, Pullman, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Rasmussen and daughter, Leslie, and their son, David, and his fiancee, Sue Mickelsen, of Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Rasmussen, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Kay Rasmussen, Springville. They were all surprised to have Mr. and Mrs. Nyles (Camille) Humphrey, of Cheyenne, Wyo., join them. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Gurr and family, Wendell Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen also enjoyed a visit with the Rasmussen brothers and families during the day. Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Jensen, Salt Lake, visited her and Mr. and Mrs. David Myrup, Salt Lake, were here over the weekend Mrs. Que (Mathal) Mickelsen had surgery Thursday, May 18, in the Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield. She was released Tuesday, daughter-in-law- , May 23. Her Mrs. Glen (Shirley) Mickelsen also had in the St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake at the same time. She was released and is with her parents in Salt Lake. Glen and the family were with her during surgery and were up over the weekend. Mrs. Larry Streadbeck, Salt Lake, was here helping her mother. Mathal, for three days. She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and has two brothers, Travis and Terron, and one sister, Deena. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Jensen, Redmond, and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Pickett, Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Spencer attended their N.S.H.S. Class of 43 reunion Saturday evening in Salina. Also coming home for the weekend and attending were Mr. and Mrs. Chad Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Morley, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jensen, and Mr. and Mrs. Versal Payne. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Jensen and family and her mother, Mrs. Lela Tennant, Midvale, were home with his mother, Mrs. Thelma Jensen; also, Mrs. Merlene Humphries and children, Trent and Nannette, of St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Bartley Jensen, Moab, came home to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jensen. Mrs. Alta Bills, Salt Lake, is spending all week here with Mrs. Leda Jensen and other relatives. On Memorial Day, Mrs. Walter (Blanche) Paey, Twin Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Lucille) Rawcliffe, Provo, were visiting them. The Jeffrey Seelys attended a wedding reception in Richfield for a relative on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Pryce Hales and family, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hales and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Newman and family were home for the meeting Sunday evening to hear Elder Calvin Hales and to visit Kenneth Hales. Mrs. Leah Jensen, Salt Lake, was home with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jensen, on Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Jensen, Salt Lake, were dinner guests Monday of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Oral Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Mills, Spanish Fork, visited relatives here Saturday. Rick Mickelsen and Barbara Hone, of Centerfield, were married Saturday, May 27, at 1 p.m. in the Relief Society Room by Bishop Nathan Anderson. Barbara is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verdon Hone. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Mickelsen hosted a dinner following the ceremony for members of the families. Helping with the dinner were Maurine Bosshardt, Hales, Carla Wilkins, and Ella Lee Lund. Ella Lee also played the wedding march. A reception was hosted by the brides parents that evening in the Centerfield Ward Cultural Hall. The couple will make their June home in Redmond. Rick is employed by Redmond Clay & Salt Co. We welcome them here. Visiting Hilton Nelson over the Memorial Day weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Chad Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Garn Nelson and families, Mrs. Wayne Nelson and daughter, Carol Lee and her fiance, and Mr. and Mrs. Reese Nelson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Newel Olsen were in California Friday to Tuesday of last week. They visited in Yerba Linda and La Marada and attended the wedding of a grandson, Tom Anderson, Jr., son of Tom and Katherine Anderson. For the Memorial Day weekend, they had visiting them here: Mr. and Mrs. and Peterson Moylee daughater, Shauna, and a girl DeAnn Smith, 17, who is living with them. She is from Kansas. Also Mr. and Mrs. Garth Tolboe and sons, Doug and Scott, and a daughter of the late Rex Kearns, Marie, and her husband, Arnold Folkes, of Evanston, Wyo. Mrs. Vera Anderson had her son, Jack Anderson, and his son, Brooks, of Salt Lake, stay over the weekend. Mrs. Anderson was staying in Ml. Pleasant with her mother, Mrs. Dora Jensen, who has just lost her husband, Cannon Jensen. On Monday, Vera had relatives call on her, Mrs. Berdeen Hansen and daughter, Carla, of Spanish Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Allred and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Quinn Robins and son, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jon Gates and children, Lance and Merin, of Hyrum, were here Friday to Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Jensen. They have all been caring for the children of Kirby and Georgianna Pickett. Mrs. Vera Peterson had her children home for the Memorial Day weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Peterson, Clearfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Peterson and sons, David and Ronnie, of Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Ashman kept a medical appointment for him in Salt Lake Saturday. Their son, Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Ashman and family, came Sunday and Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ledro Anderson and daughter, Pamela, of Garland, were here with her mother, Mrs. Margaret Nelson, and the Merlin Ashmans. Sunday evening, Elder Calvin Hales reported on his mission to Calgary, Canada. His sister, Karen, played a beahtiful piano selection, Etude Bb by Franz Liszt. JoLene Willardsen was released as a Primary teacher and was sustained as Beehive Advisor in M.I.A. Carlie Davenport was sustained as Sunday School secretary. Donnell Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lee Jensen, was advanced to the office of a teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood. Farrel and Valene Jensen, and family, of Salt Lake, visited the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Orris Sorenson, Denver, Colo., came to attend graduation of two grandchildren from high school. They visited Mrs. Ida Christensen and accompanied her to Sunday School. They attended the wedding of Rick Mickelsen and Barbara Hone. The following weekend, they repeated the feat at the Sweetwater County Girl Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyo.
