Sl Nick has whirlmade another world-wid- e, wind tour with great success, bringing joy and happiness to all. Now its time for him (and us) to take a short rest before preparing for next years trek. Jerold and Billie Lou Johnson celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren on December 18, 1993. On Christmas day, they enjoyed dinner with their family at the Johnson home. Eva Taylor also joined them from the Curtis Residential home in Glenwood. Melva Johnson, Jerolds mother, shared the occasion. Family attending were Jackieand BartReynolds, and Amy, Aaron and Adam Reynolds; Gordon and Angela Johnson, and children, Justin and Kade; and Cami and Kline Esplin. Jean 0. Neilson attended funeral Lenard R. Buchanan wishes to acknowledge his 90th birthday, December 31, 1993. Mr. Buchanan was bom December 31, 1904 to Raphael Simms and Margret May Braithwaite Buchanan. He was the third child of ten. He has lived in the Gunnison Valley since his family moved here in 1918. he has worked in the valley throughout his life, including 43 years at the Hermansen Roller Mills. Mr. Buchanan married Florence Hermansen in 1932. They celebrated their 61st anniversary this spring. They have one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Bonnie) Jensen, who also lives here in Gunnison. His three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren enjoy him very much and have learned many things from him. The family plans to enjoy a birth- - Lenard P. Buchanan day celebration together on Friday. Our best wishes and congratulations are extended to him at this time. services for a friend, June B. Johnson, age 70, of Flowell, December 20. Spec. 1 st Class Robert and Marie Lund and son, Thomas, who is 19 months old, arrived December 23rd from Copperas Cove, Texas, for a two week visit with Roberts parents, Ron and Georgia Lund, brother Riley, and sister, Amanda. Cal. Archie and Lorraine Kines, and daughter Tamra, age 7, who have been stationed in Germany, are here visiting Lorraines parents, Ron and Dorie Martin. On January 2, 1994 the Kines will go to Ft. Hood, Texas, where they will be stationed. Also visiting with the Martins have been Shawn and Racquel Heaps and children. Home from Snow College for the holiday is Angela Freeman, daughter of Kent and Marlis Freeman, and Mandy Shaw, daughter of Craig and Mary Shaw. Happy Birthday Jaden Scott Gurney celebrated his First Birthday, December 22, 1993. Helping him celebrate were his brother and sister, Jesi and Brock, and his parents, Scott and Jodi Gurney. Saturday, December 18th was Evelyns annual Christmas Party, and Santa Claus dropped in for a visit Mrs. RueLeen Sheppard was in Salt Lake visiting President and Mrs. Brad Sheppard and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shaw and to attend the Shappard Family Christmas Party. Also attending from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Ferrald Mason, and family, of Aurora. Mr. and Mrs. Tyler Perkins and Aaron, of Kearns, spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burr. Last week, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burr visited with Dr. and Mrs. Charles Edward in Farmington, and also with Mr. and Mrs. Tyler Perkins, in Kearns. Mrs. LaDawn Wind, of Orem was here visiting Mrs. Thelma Okerlund, and also Mr. and Mrs. Stan Simpson, and other family and friends. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Sorensen were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Giles and family, of Mesa, AZ, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Spendlove and family, of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Justin Sorensen of Salt Lake City, Stanley Sorensen, Brunson, all of Fillmore, spent Christmas Day with her son and family, Clark and Connie Brunson. Auroras First Ward Cub Scouts Pack 648, will hold their Pack Meeting tonight, December 29, at7 p.m. in the childrens meeting room of the church. This months theme is Holiday Magic, and there will be games and goodies for all who attend.
