Blaine Happy First Birthday Brccanna Jen Lopshirc celebrated her first birthday July 24, 1992. Her parents, Jerry and Becky Lopshirc, Salma, w ith sisters, Jennifer, Janclla and brother, Benjamin, all traveled to Marysvale to attend the 24th of July Celebration there Later that evening a birthday parly was held in her honor at the home of grandparents, Bill and Florence Blackwell, Marysvale Also there to help celebrate were 13 cousins and many Aunts and Uncles, with Grandmother, Ellen Lopshirc, Junction 529-783- Couple will celebrate 60fh wedding anniversary The children of Blaine and Ruby Poulson had a dinner on August 1, 1992 at the home and patio of Gail and Joe Ann Heath, to honor Blaine and Rubys sixtieth wedding anniversary. Blaine and Ruby were married in Salt Lake City on August 5, 1932. They spent their honeymoon at Moon Lake in the Uinta Mountains. Their wedding was later solemnized at the Manti LDS Temple. Blaine was bom and raised m Redmond. Ruby was bom m Kimberly and Richfield. There are 28 grand children, and Blaine and Ruby have lived in Redmond since their wedding day, both being active in business, community and church activities. They have a love of the out of doors, enjoying many trips to the mountains and Fish Lake, for hunting and fishing and family parties. Rogers of Arlington, Washington are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Shauna Kay to Paul M. Henrie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry J. Henrie of Gunnison. Shauna is a graduate of Malta High School, Malta, Montana and is currently a Junior at BYU. She served an LDS Mission in Jackson, Mississippi. Paul is a 1987 graduate of Gunni BYU Jensen. Col Jerold Jenson Bart Reynolds in Teacher Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Bailey More than 1,100 classes await patrons of the 70th Brigham Young University Campus Education Week, set for this year on August 18 - 21. As many as 33,000 people are expected at the annual event. Elder Neal A. Maxwell, of the Council of the Twelve Apostles for the LDS Church, will offer the keynote address August 18, at 11:10 a.m. at the Marriot Center. Education Week classes will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue through 9:25 p.m. daily. Registration is open for anyone 14 years of age and older. Participating teachers are paired with a scientists and become part of an ongoing research project. They have the opportunity to work on scientific equipment. The program is an attempt to expose teachers to the resources of the Department of Energys National Laboratories. Reynolds left on June 19 for the Pacific Northwest Lab, operated by Battelle, in Richland, Washington. He will return from his assignment August 15. Bailey, of Ephraim, would like to extend a warm invitation to friends and relatives to attend an open house in honor of them parents 50th wedding anniversary. The open house will be Friday, August 14, 1992, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. at the Ephraim Senior Citizen Center, 85 West 100 North, Ephraim. Glenn and Barbara were married on March 20, 1942 in the Manti LDS Temple. They are parents of five children, Kenneth Bailey, married to Linda Wood, lives in Denver, CO, and they are parents of two children; Mary Lou Gray, manned to Robert Gray, lives m Denver, and they are parents of five children; Tom Bailey married Michelle Peterson, lives in Ephraim, and they have four children; John C. Bailey, married Kerri Schofield, lives in Ephraim, and they are parents of two children. Glenn was born in Ephraim and has lived his entire life there. He has been active in civic and church affiars and has worked as an electrical contractor for many years. Barbara was bom m Manti and has lived in Ephraim since 1942 when she and Glenn were married. She has also been active in civic and church affairs and has served in many capacities. Glenn and Barbara look forward to seeing their friends and family at the open house. Campus Education Week August Research Assoc. Program Open House will honor Golden Wedding Bart A. Reynolds, of Panguitch, a teacher at Panguitch High, has been participaung this summer in the Teacher Research Associates Program (TRAC) through the Department of Energy. A total of 376 Middle and High School Science and Math teachers, representing all 50 states participated through the summer. Henrie Shauna Kay Rogers & Paul M. Henrie to wed Lt. Colonel Jcrold L. Jenson, who as the final Commander of Ft. Douglas, oversaw the closure of the Post, retires from the U S. Army July 3 , 1992. He was presented the Legion of Merit, in recognition of a career which spanned 35 years during which he completed tours of duty in Korea, the Pentagon, and two tours in Vietnam. Other awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star, 17 Air Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Master Parachutist Badge, Senior Army Aviator Badge, Combat Infantryman; Special Forces, and Korean Presidential National Security Merit Medal. Jenson is the son of the late Senator Moroni L. Jensen and Vivian N. Lt. M. 18-2- 1 Park day and one day registrations are also available.
