The republicans endorsed Mrs. Hazel Allred, who was also nominated by the citizens party, but in as much as the name of a candidate cannot appear on the two ballots, Mrs. Allred withdrew and the name of Mrs. G. A. Gates will appear on the republican ticket as the candidate for city recorder. Alfred Martin, the republican nominee for pouncilman, also withdrew after he had been nominated.
