Anderson, the well known valley farmer, died at the Salina hospital Monday at about 11:30. At the bedside of the unfortunate victim when death came, were the immediate family and many relatives. Word had been dispatched to Centerfield and other parts of the valley where near relatives resided early Monday morning that Mr. Anderson was sinking and that the end was near. He died peacefully and though he had suffered severely since the injury, he passed on to the great unknown without a. struggle. Mr. Anderson was fatally injured Tuesday of last week, when he fell from a load of hay and was run over by the wagon. After he was taken to the hospital for treatment he regained his senses and related as near as he oould as to how he suffered the injury. He was hauling hay and after driving his load to the main road he alighted to close the gate. In getting back on the wagon one of the supporta In front gave way and he was thrown to the tongue of the wagon. The horses became frightened and ran away and in some manner Anderaon was thrown to the ground and it is supposed one of the wheels struck him on the head. He suffered a slight concusion of the brain at the time. At the hospital, however, he showed evidences of getting better and great hopes were held for his recovery. Spinal meningitis developed Sunday afternoon and he began to sink and lingered until Monday morning as stated. Andrew B. Anderson was born in Gunnison, June 9, 1877, and was the son of Andrew S. and Mariah Larsen Anderson. With the exceptions of a few years he spent his entire life here. He was one of the progressiva farmers of the valley and was widely known and respected by all who knew him. Surviving the deceased are the wife, his mother and five (laughters, Mrs. Alvin Andersen and the Misses Rosella, Elna, Ardella and Velda Anderson. One brother, Soren P. Anderson, and two sisters, Mrs. Christensen and Mrs. H. K. Hansen, are left to mourn the untimely death. An-to- ne 1 , News Items. The victory, however, was not an easy one and every Salina player was in the collar for the reason that they were playing a real bunch. By winning the first game Salina has wade a better showing than at any previous time and the encouragement has spurned the lads to. the point of thinking of winning a high standing at the close of the game under the schedule of the Sanpete-Sevi- er division. With the first scrimmage of Fridays game, it looked as though it was to be an easy victory for Salina, the locals landing the ball for a touch down the first five minutes of the play. This was done with a combination of line bucks and end runs and it had the effect of making Wasatch set up and think. Wasatch received the ball at the beginning and advanced to the half way line, where Salina formed a block. At this point Salina buckled in for real team work and kept up a steady attack on the opponents lines and forcing them back wjthm scoring distance. Captain Fenn, and playing quarter back for Salina, staged the big play by carrying the ball through the line for a touch down. From this time until the final it was a strong fight, both teams being within scoring distance, but failing for a count. Coach Richardsens team, though youngsters, gave a splendid exhibition at the opener, and it goes without saying that others will hear from them in a forceful way before the dose of the schedule. of the Following is the line-u- p players: WASATCH SAUNA M.
