Soil Conservation Engineers have staked 40 acres on the Lorin Shaw farm at Sigurd. This farm, which will be leveled within the next three weeks, is the largest single tract to be leveled as yet in the county. Carl Christensen has completed seeding 40 acres of his Gooseberry ranch to grass and clover. Sam Jorgenson has just completed grass seeding a large acreage on his ranch at Lost Creek. Sam is an old hand at the seeding game. As direct proof of the extremely dry summer, Ernest Herbert reports that several hundred acres of his crested wheat plantings didnt seed this year.
