FOR COUNTY ASSESSOR CLIFF POWELL M Prior to the election of Mr. Powell as County Assessor four years ago, he was engaged in the occupation of farming and livestock. During his term as County Assessor, the work of this office In spite of the increase in the work has increased considerably. required of this office, the operating expenses have not increased. In addition to this, without any increase in the tax levy on personal property, for the year of 1938 alone, Mr. Powell, through his energy, has recovered approximately $9,000 in taxes on personal property, and as far as the records disclose, this is about $4,000.00 more than has over been collected from the same sources in any one year. If the taxpayers of Sevier County desire a continuance of this record of efficiency and economy, vote for Cliff Powell for Assessor. FOR COUNTY RECORDER HAZEL SWINDLE A native of Monroe, she received her early education in the district and high schools of Monroe. She later attended the University of Utah and qualified for the teaching profession. She has had considerable business experience. Mis. Swindle has had one term as County Recorder. C. He was admitted to the Utah Bar in October, 1932, and since that time has practiced law in this County and Judicial District.
