Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and dau- ghter left Salina Sunday about noon, intent on finding a suit- able camping spot for deer sea- son, as well as viewing the scenery. Exact canyon they were going to visit was not re- vealed, and when they did not return at 6 p.m., an appointed time, concern was shown for their safety. At 10 p.m. Sunday night, Deans father, Charles Wilson, and an uncle D. E. (Doc) Wilson, borrowed a Jeep and set out on the search. They covered the area directly to the east and south of the Rangers Station, but returned home Monday morning without locating the missing family. After receiving a tip, they elected to try Willow Creek and Bull Valley. On rounding a curve into the Valley, they ran Into the missing couple hiking through the mud and home. The passenger car had slid off the slick road, and the couple had been unable to get it going. They found shelter in a riders camp, and spent the night, shivering and hungry, but out of danger from the rain, snow and cold. Leaving without coats made it a task to keep warm, but little Madeline was wrapped to her neck In a sack, and was riding comfortably and safe on her daddys shoulder at the time they were found. With the exception of worry and concern from all sides, none were the worse ing experience.
