The W olves rushed for over 200 yards as compared to the Vikings 39 yards, but East Carbon canned the 13-- 7 win. We ran all over them but we need to open up people with a more potent passing attack, Coach Glen Partridge commented. Our defense was tested, especially our seconfor 120 dary as they completed 9-- yards. The Wolves never quit in this game as they repeatedly dug themselves out of penalty hole after hole. The officiating was terrible. We were called for 17 infractions to their 3. The same official called 11 of those against us. Something has got to be done about officials in our league. Still, Tm very proud of these young men as they kept battling in the face of adversity, the coach stated. Jeff Edwards and Bruce Briggs ran exceptionally well. Scott Mason had a 50 yard breakaway run from his quarterback position and Dana Sorensen played extremely well both offensively and defensively. The Wolves score came when Dana Sorensen caused the Viking quarterback to fumble and Pat Garrett scooped it up and ran 17 yards for the touchdown. Blain Hardy kicked the extra point.
