Show Aurora News 529-352- 5 or hello, this is Leona riuntsman, on tape, (this is not be confused with on tap). I have a bad cold, Do you cant talk well have any news this week? This is a recording. That is Just what I was going to do to make my PITCH for news this week, but fortunately (or unfortunately) there wasnt enough people home to have to do that. The moms are gone about as much as the kids anymore. They have good reason though. The Aurora moms are in the midst of their softball ... games, and there are three teams from Aurora this year . . . how about that? They have to have a good PITCH for each of them. We are all involved with some kind of PITCH in one area or another . . . Little boys are involved now with their PITCH-BACK- S for their ballgames coming up . . . big boys used to spend the summer PITCHING HAY, with PITCH FORKS but with modern machinery, they have more time to PITCH woo. I guess thats the best way to say that. ... Myrtle Jiarding and Jack Shiner were both admitted to the hospital in Richfield last week. We surely pitch-itogether to wish you both some hearty ll wishes. Leo and Gena Shaw, Terry and Sally Heath and sons, Cory and Brody, went to California week before last for a full-favacation week. Their biggest center of attraction was Disneyland and visited all of the other points of interest around there. Disneyland was also the vacation spot for Larry, Lynda, Logan and Leah Freeman this past week. They also visited with n get-we- st Lyndas parents, Raymond and Mary Heagle, and returned home Monday evening. The 1st Wards Sister of the Month goes as follows : Aurora is the birthplace of our sister for this month. 529-986- 3 She is the oldest in a family of one brother and two sisters. Her parents and sister also live in town. She was creative as a small child. When she would make mud pies, she went to the chicken coop for eggs and milked the cow so she would have the right ingredients. She enjoyed horses as a girl, but her father always said she majored in cheerleading! She met her husband of 16 years while attending college in Cedar City. He worked construction for a few years, so they moved a lot. He now works for a state government agency, and they have moved back to Aurora from Price. They have one and one daughter. They have also recently become local entrepreneurs. Our sister has worked in and Primary Relief Society. Currently, she works in the Mutual. She is very friendly and drives a cute car! She is Mrs. Marie Taylor. Have you noticed the homes in town getting a new PITCH to their roofs? Norman and Viva Mem-mo- tt have a new roof on their home, as do Jerold and Billie Lou Johnson. This wet winter let the message leak through that it was time for a new roof with some slope to it. Just dont let the PITCH of your voice change, Billie Lou. Its got to be one of the best. New residents as of about two weeks now are Alan and Elaine Gurr and family. They bought the Cecil Summerall home just east of Cecil Sorenson and have moved in. They were formerly from Salina and Redmond, and Alan has been working here in Aurora for some time with the Custom Cabinets. There are more homes going up in town, and Ill try to find out the occupants of them. Building construction has really been moving, and the prices just keep going up, too. Rent is higher than we BE UP TO TODAY'S LIVING would ever have believed a few years ago. One fellow told his landlord, I cant pay the rent this month. But you said that last month. I kept my word, didnt I? Its very important to keep your word, dont you think? Also important to pay rent, or youll get PITCHED out.
