Show Two Meets North Sevier Wins Track Meet North Sevier outscored Manti and North Sanpete in a track meet held April 18 in Salina. The Wolves, in the first home track meet in several years, scored a total of 102 points. Mantis Templars 52 North Sanscored 34 managed points and the pete Hawks points in the track and field events. In the medley relay, the Wolves teams placed first and second, Preston Steiger, Todd Kennedy, Don Wilson and Kelly Mason were first, followed by Bart Black, Robert Doughtie, Troy Hallows and Ronnie Swain, second. In the mile relay, the team of Wilson, Kennedy, Vergal Sorensen and Steiger placed first, with the team of Swain, Black, Doughtie and Clint Johnson fourth. Wolf pole vaulters swept the top four places since there was no competition in that Hallows event. in the shot put, but took first in the discus with a 1374 throw. Forsyth was third and Lee Huntsman fourth in the discus. Fred Mickelsen placed second in the javelin and second e in the run. He was followed in by teammate Ronnie Swain, third, and Terry Elder, fourth. Kennedy won the mile run, with Steiger second and Doughtie fourth. The 440 relay team of Hallows, Mason, Sorensen and Wilson placed first. Wilson was second in the 220; Sorensen was third, and Kennedy fourth in the 440, and Steiger third and Troy Lambertsen fourth in the880. Troy first, was followed by little brother, Trent Hallows, second; Rick Camp, third, and Kurt Taylor, fourth. Troy Hallows won the long jump, and placed d second in the dash. Kelly Mason was third and Johnson was fourth in that event. Cartip placed second in the 110 high hurdles, and Mason was first in the 330 intermediate hurdles.
