This means an irretrievable loss to the potato industry, and in addition will seriously affect all ciassea of business. It is hereby recommended: A portion of the potato First: crop be fed to livestock. Second: Only U. S. No. 1 grade, as determined by federal and state inspectors, be shipped in interstate trade. Third: That regional committees to be appointed by each of the agricultural councils or advisory boards, representing the potato industries in the several states, be formed to encourage the adoption of the above recommendation. That these committees issue bulletins from time to time giving producers a true picture of the conditions and recommend procedure to be followed by growers. Fourth: That representatives of all commercial potato producing districts of the United States shall be called together in a general meeting to be held at Chicago early in December, if possible. The date to be agreed upon and fixed by the district committee through the different advisory boards.
