In many places in Southern Utah and in other parts of the west farmers are following in the footsteps of the Idaho potato growers and are making good money. Up in the Gunnison Valley the farmers have signed for 300 acres of potatoes and arrangements have been completed for the handling of the crop, which, under favorable condi- tions, should result in an increased income to those who are planting. Onions and other smaller stuff that can be easily grown, are in great demand and prices are holding-steadand are on the upward trend. Two sessions were held at the first ward chapel, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. James Harvey, president, of the State Woolgrowers association of Heber City, and G. E. Holman, director of the biological Burvey on the Fishlake range, were special guests at the meeting. During the morning session considerable time was given over' to problems of sheepshearing. Nielson of Salina, Abe Hansen of Richfield and John Monroe were named as a committee to arrange and manage the shearing problems.
