Free use may be granted to bona fide settlers, miners, residents, and prospectors for minerals, for firewood, fencing, building, mining, prospecting and other domestic purposes. The aggregate amount of free material granted annually to any user will not exceed $20 in value except in unusual cases which will be handled according to contributing circumstances. Locally this limit is sufficiently high to allow generally all the free timber desired as may readily be seen from the following price list. The Forest area from Willow Creek south to and including Lost Creek drainage and taking all the Salina Creek drainage except that portion east of West Beaver is open to users of the Sevier Valley and those adja- cent to this Forest unit. Under the present mangement plan qualified users may take dead unused timber from any portion of Forest land within area except those covered by special uses. No permit need be obtained. However, if you are in doubt about getting timber from any part of the area please call the forest officers in charge. There are a number of tracts of privately owned land unfenced within the free use district so it would be well for users to know .the location of these to avoid trespassing upon them. If you are unacquainted with the mountains let us help you to locate daed timber.
