Show "V I THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1954 14, HOOPER NEWS By KYLE IIARROP Officials of Weber and Davis Counties joined forces recently to cleanup the old dumpinf grounds in the southwestern section of Hooper just over the Davis County lin The spot has been used for many years as the garbage dump for Hooper, Roy, Clinton and West Point. So much junk has been dumped in the road leading to the grounds that the road had become impassable. The effort of the Two counties have succeeded in burying the old trash besides digging a trench 30 ft. wide and 1,000 ftr long to handle additional refuse. A new road to the pit was constructed and a caretaker hired to direct the unloading. It is estimated that the project will cost $1,500 which will he shared by the two counties. The Hooper Junior. Womens Club was held Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Tony Cox. The guest speaker was John M. Bel-nawho showed pictures and maps depicting the events of the past 100 years in Hooper.
