Show proclamation the question of cleaner towns is is engrossing the attention of the citizens of the state of utah as never before and in line with athis laudable movement the attention of the citizens of roosevelt is called to the necessity of thoroughly cleaning up our public streets and grounds in keeping with the crusade being strenuously s sly waged by the town board ably assisted by the ladies home economics association icia cia tion against unsanitary conditions and nuisances in general it is recommended that all citizens of roosevelt observe saturday april 1915 as general clean up day and that ceasing from our ordinary avocations the day be devoted to improving the general appearance for clean liness and sanitary conditions of all streets alleys public grounds and private premises let us bequeath to the incoming city administration a clean town and that once having over overcome colne these undesirable conditions dit ions that every day be devoted to maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitary conditions that ceaseless warfare be waged against flies that no manure be allowed owed to accumulate in corrals that all toilets be kept fly proof and that all dwellings markets and public buildings and business houses be properly screened especial care being exercised to prevent the contamination of food stuffs of any kind by flies in witness whereof I 1 have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed hereunto the corporate seal of the town of roosevelt this day of spirl 1915 E T v harmston mayor clarence L ashton clerk |
