Monks were, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Chalwin, of Tabiona; Chester Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hartman, and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hartman, of Mt. Emmons; Mr. and Mrs. C. Ray, of Altonah; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Monks, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Monks, of Rangely; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Grow, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Malugen, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rasmussen, Harry Rasmussen, Mrs. Mary Bigelow, of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Mar-sing Mar-sing and Donald Marsing, of Roosevelt. . Mrs. Amanda Parker returned last week from a month's visit in Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Cyle Gill and family moved to Salt Lake City last week to make their home. Forrest Hancock moved their personal property to their new location, lie was accompanied by his wife, who enjoyed a short yisit in Salt Lake City. Mr. and " Mrs. Devon Gentry, Mp. and Mrs." Wallace Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Neboker, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Partridge, Mrs. Max Jensen, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd were members of a jolly party who gathered at the Darrell Dean ranch, Friday evening eve-ning to surprise Mrs. Dean on her birthday anniversary. Cards furnished entertainment, after which refreshments were served. Mr, and Mrs. Marion Valarida and family and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Bromley and daughter left last week for Oregon, where they expect to make their home. Mr, and Mrs. Lavar Peterson returned Friday evening front a business trip to Salt Lake City. During their absence their small son, Steven, enjoyed a visit in Cedajview at the h6me of his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson. The play "All a Mistake," which the My ton M.I. A. presented present-ed recently, was enjoyed Wednesday Wed-nesday evening when the cast again presented their rollicking comedy by invitation of the Roosevelt Ward, at the Stake Mutual convention in Roosevelt. Neil Murray, a student at the University of Utah, made a quick trip home to take part in the Mutual play, "All a Mistake." He returned Thursday to. resume his studies. Calvin Monks, who has been vistting Jn Salt Lake City, returned re-turned home last week, Tom Judd, a former resident of the Uintah Basin, was greeting greet-ing old friends in Myton, Friday. Hs is a guest at the Hale Holgate home in Arcadia. Theodore Thomas, of Price, was attending to his property interests in-terests in this district, Saturday. Kenneth Aycock, of Roosevelt, was a Myton business visitor, Friday. The Relief Society entertained Friday afternoon honoring Mrs. Leonard Harris, gyt-.gejing president presi-dent fif tnat organization. A large erowd gathered at the vard chapel to greet Mrs. Harris and enjoy an afternoon of games followed by refreshments. A beautiful hand quilted silk comforter com-forter was presented to Mrs. Harris by members of the Relief Society as a token of their esteem. es-teem. Mrs. Wilmer Murray, recently rec-ently elected president of the Society, was in charge of the occasion. oc-casion. James Dalgleish left Saturday for Salt Lake City to attend the Executive Committee meeting of the American Legion, Department Depart-ment of Utah. He returned Monday Mon-day morning. Wilson Bywater, who has been visiting at the home of his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Bywater, during the illness of his father, left Saturday for Salt Lake City. His wife will remain till late this week before returning home. Weekend guests at the home of I Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Partridge were, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Leavitt and Mrs. Joseph Barboglio, of Price. Mr. Leavitt is a son of Mrs. Partridge, Vern Edwards went to Bountiful Boun-tiful Saturday morning to be present at the funeral of his uncle, Joseph C. Larsen. Aldon Fenn, who has been seriously ser-iously 111 for several days, was taken to Provo, Saturday for medical attention. He was accompanied ac-companied by his wife and her mother, Mrs. Ole Peterson. Mrs. Charles Barton, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, visited Monday at the home of her brother, Charles Sands. Orval Gillen returned Monday from a business trip to Salt Lake. While there he visited members of the Wm. R. Sands Post No. 5, American Legion, who are confined con-fined to the Veterans' hospital. He reports Roland Krebs, Sr. Lawrence Odekirk, Milton Brum-mett Brum-mett and Clarence Lund are all improving, John L. Johnson returned last week after spending the holiday season with his brothers at Preston, Pres-ton, Idaho. Mrs. Denzel Hemphill was honored Monday evening when, friends gathered at the Hemphill ranch east of town to surprise her on her birthday anniversary. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Orval Gillen, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hamilton and John L. Johnson. Mrs. Nephi Porritt, who has been ill at the Roosevelt hospital was returned to Myton last week j and Is now convalescing at her I home. |
