Show NEOLA P T A Reorganized Last Wednesday evening the Neola P T A held its final meeting meet-ing of the year, with president Deone Spencer presiding. Matters Mat-ters pertaining to the school were discussed and a new president, presi-dent, Mrs. Albert Blank was elected for the school year 1944-45. 1944-45. Outgoing officers are Deone Spencer, president; Ferris Hen-rie, Hen-rie, vice-president; Emma Ober-haansley, Ober-haansley, secretary-treasurer. A new vice-president and secretary will be elected next fall. Reception Honors Newlyweds Complimentary to Mr. and Mrs. Mirl F. Jennings, Jr., a re- ception and shower was held in the Neola gymnasium last Thursday Thurs-day evening. A large crowd enjoyed en-joyed an evening of dancing to the music of LaRoses orchestra and many beautiful and useful gifts were received by the young couple. Birthday Party Miss Othea Duncan entertained entertain-ed a number of young friends at her home last Sunday afternoon, the occasion being her eleventh birthday. After a number of games, refreshments were enjoyed en-joyed by the group. Othea was assisted by her mother, Mrs. Bernetta Duncan. Surprise Parly Deone Spencer was pleasantly surprised at his home last Sunday, Sun-day, the occasion being his birthday. birth-day. An evening of games and visiting were enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Matt Zagar, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Crozier, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Bastain, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Iv-an Bastain, Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mitchell. Mit-chell. A delicious luncheon was served by Mrs. Spencer. Birthday Party A birthday surprise party was held- Sunday evening for Mrs, Elroy Halverson at her home. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Pierson, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sprouse, Mrs. Rose Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Crozier, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Finn, Mrs. Ellis Keele, Mrs. Art Mitchell and Miss Glen-da Glen-da Halverson, Mr. Halverson and the guest of honor. The time was spent in playing games, after which a buffet supper was served ser-ved by Miss Glenda Halverson and Mrs. Art Mitchell. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Harper, Adair and Bruce Baxter of Salt Lake City are spending a few days in Neola visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hutcheon proudly announce the arrival of a new grandson at their home on May 7th. The mother, Mrs. Ned Shoell, is staying with her parents while her husband is serving in the armed forces. Mr, and Mrs. Em Glines have purchased the home of Harold Dalton. Miss LaRene Elmer of Ogden spent a few days here visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Rhoades and small son who have been in California for some time, are here for a brief visit before Mr. Rhoades enters in the service Mrs. Marvin R. Mitchell returned re-turned home after spending a week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Samantha Peterson returned re-turned to Pittsburgh, California, after visiting here with her children chil-dren for a few days. Bishop Rex L. Gardner and Elmer Gardner spent a few days in Hill Creek last week. |
