Show SOCIETY" Wedding Announced (Mrs. Sarah Nielson, Corres.) Mrs. Rose Englesbee announces announ-ces the marriage of her daughter, daugh-ter, Jean, to Mr. Arthur Brain, son of Mrs. Carrie Parker. The ; young couple were united in a civil ceremony performed at Duchesne Du-chesne on July 3rd with Judge George F. Wilcken officiating. Following the ceremony parents par-ents of the young couple entertained enter-tained at a wedding dinner at the home of Mrs. Rose Englesbee. Engles-bee. Places were marked for the bride and bridegroom, Mrs. Emma Em-ma Tanner, Mrs. Leland Hadden, Mrs. Ray Thompson, Mrs. Jennie Potter and Mrs. J. C. Jewett. Mr. and Mrs. Brain plan to make their home in Myton. Bridge Luncheon Adding interest to this week's social activities was the temptingly tempt-ingly arranged bridge luncheon at the home of Mrs. Clifton Lar-is Lar-is on Tuesday afternoon. Covers were marked for eight guests including in-cluding .Mrs. Howard Ivory, Mrs. Orson Stevens, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Norman Murphy, Mrs. John Bourne, Mrs. George Stewart, Mrs. Floyd Labrum and Mrs. Earl Dillman. Following luncheon two tables were arranged ar-ranged for bridge. Prizes were won by Mrs. Ivory, Mrs. Murphy Mur-phy and Mrs. Stevens. Farewell Party Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson were guests of honor at a farewell party held at City Park Tuesday evening. Twenty-eight guests enjoyed en-joyed a weiner roast and an evening eve-ning of songs and games. Mrs. Nelson left Wednesday morning for Bingham Canyon where they plan to -make their home. Mr. Nelson will join her there in a short time. Timothy-Dean Riles Taking her place among the June brides was Miss Maurine Timothy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Timothy of Roosevelt, when she became the bride of David E. Dean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey E. Dean of Salt Lake City. . The young couple were united in a double ring ceremony Saturday Sat-urday evening, June 29, at the home bf Mr. and Mrs Clyde McDonald Mc-Donald Bishop E. J. Nixon read the simple rites in the presence of members of the immediate families and a few close friends. Following the ceremony the young: couple were honored guests at a wedding supper and reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nelson of Ioka. McDonald-Allred Nuptials (Ethel Beebe, Correspondent) One of the attractive June weddings was that of Miss Joyce McDonald and Med Allred who were married June 30. at 2:00 p. m. on the lawn of the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents at Altonah. A brother of the bride, Bishop Claude McDonald, preformed the ceremony in the presence of members of the immediate families fam-ilies and a few close friends. The bride ,a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chase McDonald of Talmage, was lovely in a beautiful beauti-ful dress of delicate blue chiffon accented by a corsage of orchids. Miss Helen Crawford, bridesmaid, brides-maid, was also dressed in pale blue chiffon. Three small nieces of the bridegroom, Janis Allred, Sharon Fietkau and Kay Dean Mccham served as flower girls. The bridegroom, whose parents par-ents are Mr. and Mrs. Dan All-red All-red of Altonah, chose Guy Lind-sey Lind-sey as best man. s j After the ceremony a delicious luncheon was served to thirty-six thirty-six guests. The young couple left Sunday evening on a honeymoon tour. Upon their return they expect to make their home either in Altonah or Talmage. Jusl-A-Mere Members of Just-A-Mere were delightfully entertained at the home of Fay White Wednesday evening. A tempting dessert luncheon was served with covers marked for Reva Owen, Edith I Larsen, Veda Labrum, Tina Wil-'kins, Wil-'kins, Dorothy Walker, Lora Kil-lian Kil-lian and Erma Jensen. Two tables of bridge were at play during the evening with prizes being won by Dorothy Walker, Tina Wilkins and Edith Larsen. Lora Killian won the jack-pot prize for the month's high score. Neighborhood Sewing Club Dessert luncheon was featured at the home of Mrs. Neldon Ny-berg Ny-berg when she entertained the Neighborhood Sewing club Wed nesday evening. Her guest list included Mrs. Frank Yack, Mrs. Harold Gardner, Mrs. Bob Hall, Mrs. Louis Laris, Mrs. Floyd Labrum, Mrs. Howard- Andrews and Mrs. J. S. Rawlings. x Friday Bridge Members of the Friday Bridge club were entertained at the home 61 Mrs. Robert Huish on July 5 A delicious salad course luncheon was served with covers marked for Mrs. C. L. Ashton, Mrs. Ray Jordan, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, Mrs. Wm. H. Ruppel, Mrs. Sam Weiss, Mrs. Fred Fer-ron, Fer-ron, Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mrs, Eugene Eu-gene Harmston, Mrs. Jack Mo-Lea, Mo-Lea, Mrs. Les Mullins, Mrs. Howard Harrison and Mrs. Louis Corbridge. |
