Three teams have tied up the first stanza championship spot by garnering percentages of .750. They are Myton, Ft. Duchesne and Bennett. Last Saturday Bennett topped Montwel 10 to 5; Myton was on the short end of an 8-7 score in its game with Roosevelt, but was declared the winner by virtue of a technicality. The Roosevelt-Myton Roosevelt-Myton encounter was the opener in the. second half of league Play. Next Saturday Ft. Duchesne will play at Roosevelt. Bennett at Myton, and Montwel will bye. Moves Office Here The Raven Mining Company of Utah this week closed its Chicago Chi-cago office and moved headquarters headquar-ters to Roosevelt. Announcement of the transfer was made by Fred C. Ferron, company vice president. Aside from effecting an economy econ-omy of operation, the move was ordered to bring the administrative adminis-trative section of the Raven Mining Co. to the center of actual ac-tual field activities. Mr. Ferron I said. The company's new headquarters headquar-ters are located in the Clair Labrum La-brum building, in space formerly former-ly occupied by the Small Frye shop. Miss Ann F. Bowman, with 36 years of service as Raven Ra-ven Mining Co. secretary, is in charge of the office. |
