Show oscar cooper i 11 k 1 4 4 r A K aa v elm FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT MYTON FOR HIGHWAY VICTIM oscar cooper succumbs in salt lako city hospital from injuries received when struck by car on highway near myton bridge was To boy scout and outstanding art student at roosevelt high school myton A great loss to the young people of this section was the tragic death of oscar berry cooper 16 son of mr air and mrs oscar cooper of died early monday morning the result of injuries received saturday evening january when he was struck by a car driven by sam sprouse of roosevelt as he was walking along the highway near the myton bridge immediately after the accident the boy was brought to roosevelt for medical treatment and on monday february 1 was taken to the st M marks hospital in salt lake city ne never ver regaining consciousness he died monday morning and his body was brought home to myton for burial attending physicians gave the cause of his death to a fractured skull and brain lacerations oscar was born in salt lake city on march 15 1920 a son of 0 oscar C and edith dow cooper at the aime time of his death he was a student at the roosevelt high school where he was widely known for his fine work in car cooning too ning sign painting and poster work he was an active member of the boyack chapter of the future farmers and of the myton troop of boy scouts whom he served as scribe and treasurer funeral services inspiring funeral services services wore held for the boy at the presbyterian church in myton wednesday afternoon with reverend willard spence officiating reverend spence and bishop harold eldredge were the speakers and musical numbers were furnished d by a double trio composed of mr air and mrs W A price leland leland wilde mrs airs E L jumer mrs joseph miller and mrs lynn stone accompanied by mrs wilde renoe renee and matti atwood sang whispering hope members of oscars scout troop and also members of the boyack chapter accompanied by walter E atwood attended the funeral services in groups scouts including blaine tanner earl fowler lawrence bywater orvillo orville neilson acel bingham and xavier beffort were pallbearers pall bearers interment took place in the myton city cemetery reverend spence dedicated the grave and max robinson sounded taps at the graveside surviving the deceased are arc his parents and grandmother mrs C C cooper and three brothers dow dale and william all of myton |
