Show ft duchesne rancher dies friday after A short illness david eske ison uintah basin pioneer dies at his home in ft duchesne friday night funeral services were held at the ballard ward chape monday afternoon for david eskelson eskilson 69 who died at his home near fort duchesne friday night after a brief illness A very large cro crowd d gathered for the services to avy pay their last respects to a kindly nei neighbor gabor heber T hall a friend of many years and russell todd were the speakers musical numbers were furnished by the misses manwaring and goodrich dene diction was pronounced by lee angus and burial took place in the maesar cemetery near vernal clark larson dedicated the bravi david eskeldson was born bom in wanship manship on september 18 1867 in 1889 he m married mary jane lc lee and the young couple lived in 1905 when the reservation er was thrown open to settlers they settled on a homestead near the river at fort duchesne and have lived there since that time years of hard work were rewarded with a productive farm and orchard mr eskelson was the father of eight children all of whom are living with the exception of one daughter who died in 1919 he is survived by his widow four sons james nd lee of gusher eph and joe ot 01 fort duchesne three daughters mrs joe grivett of oreville california mrs burns hallett of ft duchesne and mrs dell ferguson of gusher and several grandchildren he is also survived by one borther joe eskelson of salemi salem oregon who is 94 years old |
