met in the comity recorders office after their bonds had been filed with the county clerk and approved bythe by the county commissioners sio ners all members present moved by lockhart ad by slur mur ray that the rules be suspended and that H P ottosen be elected president for the two years by acclamation carried moved by murray ad by dart daff the that the rules be suspended and ancl that 0 C lockhart be elected vice president by b acla acclamation mation carried then followed a discussion in in regard to election of a clerk ea ed F harmston the cleric stated to the board that county attorney ashton ashon ard given its his ion that the term terin of office boffice of the prez present clerk and measurer tt measurer do not expire until jul july y 1st ast 1917 two ysais from date of dillman then got lecog of the chair and stated that county is not the legal adviser r of the board of education and that attorney general barns was in the habit of rendering punk opinions on I 1 legal question s that s the legislature intended that the terms of office of the clerk and treasurer should expire it at the arme q those of the board in members embers thereupon it was moved by lockhart ad treasurer being under bond for the safe j keeping of the funds fund of the d ds ks strict had not a right to deposit althe the funds is as he saw fit this seemed to be bethe the opinion of the pajo majority rity of the board mr dart made a plea to have the funds distributed equally between the three brinks of the county and one of the rn mc told him quite plainly that if past favors had anything
